Who is Lokhande Prashant Sitaram? IAS officer appointed CBSE Chairperson amid OSM probe and leadership overhaul

The Centre has appointed Lokhande Prashant Sitaram, a 2001-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, as the new Chairperson of CBSE amid ongoing scrutiny of the board's On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. The appointment comes alongside the transfer of outgoing Chairperson Rahul Singh and the repatriation of Secretary Himanshu Gupta. As the government orders a probe into OSM procurement, Sitaram assumes charge at a crucial time for CBSE, with transparency and trust emerging as key priorities.
